Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts Rotating Electrical Product Warranty

Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts warranty for Starter Motors, and Alternators

Starter Motors, Alternators and their associated parts manufactured or supplied by Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts are warranted to be free from any defects in material and workmanship and suitable for installation in the specified application for a period of:

3 Years – Jaylec branded Starter Motors, Alternator units.

Passenger vehicle applications only.

With a maximum of 120,000 kilometres.

2 Years – OEM branded Starter and Alternator units.

Passenger vehicle applications only.

With a maximum of 50,000 kilometres.

2 Years – All 4WD, Light Commercial Vehicle, Starter Motor and Alternator units.

With a maximum of 25,000 kilometres.

1 Year –  Jaylec branded Agricultural, Mining and Marine Starter Motor, Alternator.

1 Year or 2000 hours whichever comes first.

With a maximum of 20,000 kilometres.

OEM branded units as per their published warranty.

Warranty Exclusion

The following conditions are not covered by warranty:

  1. Use of the product in applications not specified by Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts, or unauthorized repair, replacement, modification, or alteration.
  2. Incorrect installation, adjustment, or maintenance.
  3. Failure due to prolonged cranking (Starter, Winch Pump Motors).
  4. Failure due to re-engagement and/or overrun.
  5. Failure caused by low/high voltage supply.
  6. Normal wear and tear of the product.
  7. Physical damage, water ingress, or evidence thereof.
  8. Consequential damage resulting from negligence by any party.
  9. Claims submitted without a completed and signed claim form within 28 days of failure. Freight arrangements and costs are determined by Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts; unauthorized freight costs will not be accepted.
  10. Items or conditions specified as exclusive in the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.

Exclusions and Limitation of Liability

Where such limitation of liability is permissible by law, Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts limits its liability to the service center installer for any loss or damage, including consequential or economic loss, arising directly or indirectly from the specified products, their supply, or any services provided (including training related to repair or servicing of Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts products). The extent of liability shall be determined by Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts at its sole discretion and may include one of the following:

For specified products:

  1. Replacement of the specified products or supply of goods equivalent to the specified products,
  2. Repair of the specified products,
  3. Payment of the cost of the specified products or acquiring equivalent goods to the specified products,
  4. Payment of the cost of having the specified products repaired.

For services:

  1. Supply of the services that need to be repeated,
  2. Payment of the cost of having the services repeated.

Please note: Warranty claims exceeding the cost of the replacement assembly or component will not be accepted.

Warranty Claim Procedure for Units and Parts Within Australia

Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts’ warranty claim procedure aims to resolve faults promptly and with minimal inconvenience. It is provided in good faith and requires Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts to promptly supply replacement products upon confirmation of a defect.

If subsequent inspection reveals that Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts is not responsible for the fault and the warranty claim is denied, the customer will be liable for the cost of the replacement unit or part(s), and freight charges will be debited to the customer’s account.

 

All purchases of goods are subject to acceptance of Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts’ Terms and Conditions of Sale and Warranty Policy.

 

The purchaser is responsible for forwarding any allegedly faulty or defective product to Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts at their own expense.

 

Note: Before any repair work or replacement is carried out, Aus starter and alternator expert Auto Parts or its representative must be informed and approval obtained in the event of a warranty claim.

Warranty Claim Procedure – Overseas Purchaser

All terms and conditions mentioned above apply except for the following modifications:

 

The company does not initially require the Purchaser to return any allegedly faulty or defective product for evaluation. However, the Company reserves the right to request the return for evaluation at the purchaser’s cost.

The claim may be submitted by electronic mail.

The claim should include clear photos of the goods being claimed.

The purchaser must retain the product for a period of sixty days after making the claim.
